Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Manager of Accounting Services will manage and maintain effective accounting, cash management and financial reporting systems for all funds under control of the College. Responsible for overseeing fiscal policies and procedures to ensure good internal controls and compliance. Assist in the preparation of college budget, audit, reconciliations, financial reports, and disbursements of the college. Supervise and oversee Accounts Payable operations. Serve as the liaison with external auditors. Provide leadership to all staff in accounting, and ensure compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statements, and Illinois Community College Board rules and regulations. Interact with external agencies, companies, students and the general public regarding financial matters of the college.


Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a CPA or MBA; 3 to 5 years’ experience in governmental accounting or auditing. Previous accounts payable supervisory/management experience a plus.


Community college or educational experience preferred; knowledge of governmental or fund accounting; above average communication skills; ability to work effectively as a team member and interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students; and experience with computer based accounting systems and spreadsheet/database applications.

8:00 am to 5:15 pm

Minimum Starting Rate $74,390
